Naruto Complete Series (Blu-ray)

I was introduced to Naruto the anime in 7th grade in 2003. My public middle school had clubs for teens and adults at night and I found out an anime club existed. One of the highschoolers in the club who I became friendly with lent me his imported dvd of the first season. The manga might have been in the US version of shonen jump but the anime was nonexistent on toonami or adult swim. I was bullied a lot in school and I was getting ready to go back to public school for the first time since third grade as I was in private school for many years. I fell in love with Naruto and related to him as an outcast. Anime was still not the mainstream juggernaut it is now back then. I have an entire shelf for Naruto including rare items like the original weekly shonen jump from 1999 which was the first appearance and a sealed inbox Naruto gameboy sp. I even met one of my best friends because of a Naruto shirt. This series has a special place in my heart and even though I own the entire original run on dvd I had to buy this. I hope VIZ will release an official Shippuden box set as I own all of them on dvd which is not the official version, but it was the easiest way to get them all.

The blu-rays are exactly the same as the ones from the individual volumes. Only difference is you’re trading out the slipcovers for the box that holds the all of the discs. The box itself has good quality (it’s a hard box, it’s not a flimsy paper box) and it even has interior artwork. The art book features character art and a small introduction about how the series has impacted fans. Volumes 4 and 8 still come with the small posters showing the full art for volumes 1-4 and 5-8.If you’re a Naruto fan, this is a very nice set to have. However, if you have already purchased the individual blu-ray volumes, it may not be worth spending the extra money to have the very few extras.

Despite not saying it, this has English dub with subtitles that show what written words say.Amazon should update description

Most of the disks were popped out of their holders luckily they did not damage and transit

Half the cases were busted and DVDs all over the place. Had to replace 3 of the cases. You would think with a $200 price tag it wouldn't be that way. Was not due to shipping.

it would be a nice set to own I'm sure but given time I'm sure be better when its all on Blu-ray set then this dvd set
