Works great!
We've tried numerous different things for our variety of knives including one other universal knife block. This works perfect: we only need one block and it takes our higher quality knives and our indestructible old knives. It also tucks nicely into the edge of our counter and it looks great. Fantastic idea and works perfectly. 10 stars for us.

Great Block!!!
My husband likes to grill and does a wonderful job at it..therefore he loves knives and apparently, they are like shoes...you need one of each type...at least. We had a drawer full of them and his special ones were hidden on top of the fridge so they wouldn't get ruined, but they were a pain to get at and put them back when we needed them, so I bought this and it has worked beautifully. Now all the knives, scissors, and clever are neatly stored in this block. The block is also very attractive, sturdy, and substantial. We all love it.

I can get almost every knife & cleaver in this
I had an old showtime knife block I got with the set long ago... as I replaced knifes with better quality knives I kept using the block... but now that I wanted to replace the cleaver - I could not get a cleaver which would fit in the block. I decided to try this - I can fit all knives and my favorite new cleaver in here along with steak knives, scissors and more. It is not as convenient to pull out the knives since it is vertical, but I am happy being able to fit everything in.

Beautiful wood and finish. It holds all our knives upright without the chance of the blades being dulled. Great investment!
