Beautifully bright color pink, transparent so layers beautifully. Works best with a little medium.

Who doesn't love Opera Pink? The paint is radiant. Perfect for tropical art works.It's sad that opera pink is a fugitive color. It will fade badly in watercolors. I hope it has better lightfastness in oil, but I doubt it. Time will tell.

For what it is . . .
Quin Magenta (PR122) is the primary pigment of this paint according to AI (see below). But the quantum boost of color is due to an added flourecent die. This, unfortunately, risks the intense chroma to fade under UV, temperature stress, etc. When used as a high point in a value\chroma scale it works wonders but your work may look a little less amazing after some time. As for me, I'll take it, since there is nothing in my paint box that can kick so hard. I wonder if using a UV shielding coating would help without killing the intensity. I’ve been using this product for about 3 years and love its chroma. Holbine is always quality paint. If your a floral painter, this color is a must have.
