Very nice and easy to use felt tape
I read some reviews that indicated the tape is difficult to get off the paper strip. I noted that the roll arrived with a pre-tab to make it easy to start using the tape. I simply put a short piece of the paper strip, gloss side toward the sticky, between the paper strip and the sticky of the rest of the roll. That way I have a starter tab to make the next project easier. I have also simply cut the tape and then cut the paper a little longer than the tape and that works also. For my application, I used the felt as the slide edge for the plexiglass window/slide door in the screen door of my motor home. The existing plexiglass was worn and scratched, so I replaced it and used this the same way the original slide door. The tape is very sticky and adheres well. The felt is fuzzy and does not scratch. Very happy with the purchase.

Worked perfectly for padding the bottom edge of a heavy TV
I bought this to put a strip along the bottom edge of our new Vizio 75" 100+lb TV so it would slide smoothly on top of a TV stand. The TV is on an articulating wall mount that takes most of the weight, but the height is adjusted so that the bottom edge of the TV does rest on the TV stand with, I'd guess, 30% of the weight supported by the stand. I know this is unusual, but the fit was very tight, so I didn't have room to have the TV mounted above the stand and have it still fit in the entertainment center. The tape was perfect for this. I was worried that the felt might be too thin to provide padding, but it was just right - thin, but thick enough to provide a bit of padding and protect the wood top of the TV stand and to allow the TV to slide smoothly on it when we adjust its position. The peel-and-stick adhesive also seems to be high quality - it was easy to apply and seemed to bond very well to the metal trim of the TV (no slipping or lose spots). I did peel it back to slightly re-position it in a spot or two, but it sticks solidly, so it is best to be careful and get it right the first time. I was applying it to a flat metal surface (the bottom of the TV's bezel), so I can't say how it would work on corners or uneven surfaces - though I think it would probably do fine. I think it might be pretty tough to remove if I ever need to do that, but I prefer that to having it come loose when I don't want it to (which I don't expect).

Backing removal tip that worked for me
Like others , separating the felt from the backing was a bit of a challenge . The first section separated ok because of the way the factory had attached a tape "starter" section . I had cut my length needed already , so the second piece had to be separated . After struggling somewhat initially , I found that my box cutter blade point was a great help in sliding between the felt and the backing (some high powered 4X glasses and good light also helped) . Even though the felt is thin , they adhered to my front porch rockers well , and added floor paint protection , and noise dampening to the rocking motion ! Would purchase again .

Yes, it's hard to peel the backing. That's because it's STICKY!
This was perfect for my application - a thin felt to line some small wooden drawers. It stuck down tight to a fresh, smooth coat of polyurethane finish, and it doesn't feel like it's going to want to peel up.And yeah, it's kinda hard to peel the backing, that's because it's STICKY! Just get in there with the tip of a knife or a needle or something - sometimes stretching it a little will break the bond. There's kind of a knack to it, but it's certainly not impossible like some people are implying.

Excellent product!
This product does exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it very well!I had a beautiful vintage rocking chair that I discovered was badly scuffing the wood floor. I tried a rug underneath, but that made it more difficult to rock the chair. I tried felt pads from the local big box home improvement store, but they were too thick and didn’t adhere properly. After some searching, I discovered this product. The photo of the chair is after a year of regular use - the felt hasn’t moved a bit and still has enough padding to protect the floor. I also recently put it in an old built-in hutch to help the drawers slide more smoothly. The only tricky part is removing the backing paper. I had better luck peeling from the side rather than the end of the roll.I found the felt easy to reposition but haven’t needed to remove it yet. I’ll update the review if I ever do!

Awesome stuff!
I bought a few rolls of this because I had some wood on wood furniture contact that I wanted to quiet down. This was absolutely perfect. It is very strong with a just-right adhesive backing that keeps in place. No more rubbing or squeaking noises from the wood surfaces it not cushions. It was just what I was looking for. The only issue I had with it was when trying to separate it from the release paper after cutting it. It is difficult at times to peel away the backing paper. I learned not to cut it off flush and to leave some release paper exposed so I could separate the next piece. A minor inconvenience.

Not Adhesive-Backed
There might be some adhesive here, but there is no physical way to remove the backing from the felt without tearing it apart. I tried 10 times, could not separate backing from product to use adhesive--but not even sure if it has adhesive, but if there is, you can't get to it.
