A no latency solution to air drumming
The media could not be loaded. I had bought virtual drums (AeroBand Pocket Drum), and needed a simple amp with no latency. Latency added by a Bluetooth speaker, even when using the aux port, makes the sticks very difficult to play. This little amplifier board powered by eight AA rechargeable batteries in a holder, and wired to my old RadioShack bookshelf speakerworks great for playing these drums in a room with acoustic musicians.

Good product with poor implementation.
Gain is set to 200 by default. Removing capacitor between pins 1 and 8 gets it back to the default of 20. Power output is nowhere near 10W.

Nicely packaged with text book schematic configuration.
Good little amplifier package, although I suspect the output wattage is a little inflated. Input Vcc is filtered with a 220 uF capacitor. Output is AC coupled with 220 uF. Gain as fixed at 200. If you want 20, remove chip capacitor between pins 1 and 8. I really like the power on LED indication. All powered circuits should have this feature. Good job!

This is NOT a 10 watt amplifier
The LM386N-1 of this amplifier is the low-voltage version of the LM386, recommended for 12 volt DC maximum power supply. At that voltage the rated output is ONE watt, and the distortion is horrible at 10%.It is a cute little amplifier but only capable of a few hundred milliwatts of clean audio.

It worked well for the use I had
I used one of these to power a small speaker attached to a home made signal tracing probe.

Perhaps 1 watt instead of 10 watts but is great for my application. (LM386 Audio Amplifier Module)
I have a very old AC Voltmeter that has an audio amplifier module connected to it. It is used for audio signal tracing and trouble shooting. The amplifier module stopped working and I replaced it with one of these. It is running from a 9-volt battery and has a small speaker connected to it. This piece of test equipment is used intermittently and this module is great for that application. Price is great!

These are not 10 watt amplifiers
As a small audio amplifies these boards are fine however they are not 10 watt as advertised. I'm a electrical engineer and I looked up the amplifier chip being used. It has a maximum output of 0.7 watt
