Quality is sub par
Bought 1ft patch panel cables for my rack mount to connect to 2 of my gigabit ethernet ports as I had previously connected 3ft cat5e cables to these ports. Once these cables were installed, they were tested and my transfer speeds dropped from 80mb/sec to 5mb/sec. I thought I had an issue with my switch so after a couple hours of trouble shooting, I switched back to my 3ft cat5e cables and the transfer speeds went immediately back up to 80mb/sec. (For integrity purposes, I was transferring the same files to try and replicate the issue). Not sure what copper is used, but these cables are junk.

Rarely ever achieves gigabit speeds.
Don't buy this if you need gigabit. The marketing is shady. I didn't know what was wrong with my network for the longest time.. Thought I was getting ripped off by my ISP, then shifted the blame to my Netgear splitter. Turns out all my cables are CAT6 except this one (cat5), and it's the culprit.I was getting about 75mbps with this cable when I should have been getting gigabit (more than 10x that speed).Time to move to CAT6, everybody.

Shorter than expected.
Like a typical man, I have a hard time estimating what 6-inches looks like.. these are perfect for what I am using them for so long as I am using the ports on my patch panel that are in the middle two banks. The outside banks are too far away from the ports on my switches for these little 6-inchers to reach. I had to craft my own 12-inchers to do the job. Ain't that a B? Needing 12 inches because 6 inches just wouldn't get it done.

SELLER IS LYING ABOUT SPEEDS
***THIS CABLE IS NOT GIGABIT RATED, DO NOT BUY IT*** I am only getting 100 mbps on the green or orange versions. It is a scam, do not buy them. Tested and verified on 3 separate devices, then tested using other known good cables. I get gig speeds on the test cables, but NOT on THESE.Now I have to buy REAL gig cables, crawl back into my attic and redo these cable runs. Thanks a lot for that.

Hip Cat5
This cable is actually better than other Cat5 cables I've tried, which is not something your would expect from a cable, but there it is. Why? Well, look at the end cap in the photo: see that little round shield that covers the release tab? It's there to protect the tab from getting caught on something and breaking. And in fact, that getting caught and breaking thing is probably the number one reason you might have to replace a cable (unless you need to go longer or something). I have broken many a tab in my day. So thanks, InstallerParts. I appreciate you!

Good Cat5e cable!
This is some excellent CAT5e cable. Unlike the stuff I tried from a national mart chain, this doesn't get all twisted and knotted, and when you're laying it on a wall it handles turns and corners without a problem. It also cost a lot less, too. I'm very pleased! If you're looking for Ethernet cable for your home, you'll be happy with CAT5e. Yes, CAT6 is better, but chances are your home network doesn't have anywhere near the bandwidth or needs to require it. As it stands, most home networks won't even come close to the limits of CAT5e, let alone needing CAT6. Save yourself a few bucks and go with the CAT5e unless you're wiring an office building with some serious commercial hardware.

Only 5.5 inches and fairly stiff
The cables I received are actually 5.5", not 6". Which makes them just a little short for my application. They are also pretty stiff. That, combined with the shortness, makes them a little hard to use. I do get full gigabit speed through them. They are easy to release from the socket, which is a plus over some other cables.

Solid.
Solid Ethernet cable. I use this to connect to my Fios router from my Xbox and TV. It's a solid connection and I never have any problems. If you're ordering an Ethernet, "high speed" is something every Ethernet cable has, but there are different types (Like how this is a CAT5E). So research and make sure you buy the right type so that you get the right upload/download speeds.

Best choice
Good product . Nice flexible casing that allows you to run it in a chase. Solid terminals that seat well. Using it as a cat5e for a cat6 run. No problems and much better than others I have used.
