Stretch Panne Velvet Velour Flag Green, Fabric by the Yard

I bought this to use for a photography backdrop. It is very thin, which is fine (you can see the room behind it in the picture). But I was really disappointed that there is a dark line straight down the middle. If you’re sewing with it, it might be noticeable, and it might not. It shows up under different lighting conditions.

HORRIBLE “crushed Velvet” fabricId give this 0 stars but the price was very cheap so the one star can go to that.. as you can see in my pic im holding the fabric up to show how see through it is. I have never came across velvet fabric such bad quality as this is! I wanted to turn these into curtains but this is horrible!!

It's totally not red, it's basically a dark magenta, so it's way more on the pink/purple side of "red", the picture is very misleading, it has to be tinted/photoshopped to look more red than the actual fabric is. I looked at it on multiple different display screens before I purchased to make sure it was in fact very RED... as soon as I got it I was very disappointed because it's basically just a really dark pink, almost purple. If you're looking for a dark red, this is NOT for you!

I didn’t know what to expect for the price. When it stretches it does NOT hold its shape. It will curl in on itself. Honestly it was good for a practice run for my dress but not a final product. I bought better quality velvet at a fabric store by my house (twice the price and got amazing quality). You can machine wash it (GENTLE, like delicates, cold, detergent ONLY) it but I suggest hand-washing to prevent a bunch of fuzzies and to keep it soft. It stayed soft after washing but not nearly as soft as it started. It’s sheer so you’ll need an extra layer if you’re making clothing. I suggest this for cheap creations. Don’t expect to make $$$ items with it. It looks and feels cheap.

Used this fabric to make a wizard costume. Ive never sewn anything in my life. This fabric was stretchy and easy to work with. Loved it so much.

The listing says nothing about stretch so I had some hope that it would be at least slightly 4-way but no … it's a 2-way stretch fabric, zero stretch up and down so definitely not the recommended fabric for the pattern I was using but I made it work. I'm just lucky I have experience making things work and that it was ordered specifically for a costume and not a special occasion! It worked for what I needed, a costume that will be worn a handful of times, so 4 stars. I just wish the listings for fabric listed stretch percentage … it would make my life so much easier.

I know I got exactly what I ordered, but I was hoping it would have been a little thicker. I say this only to help anyone who like me might not be as familiar with different fabrics. But the condition was good, no tears or little bits of the velour shedding off. It's a little transparent. Not quite as soft as I'd thought it might be but that could be me just not knowing about fabric as well. It will work for what I need though so good buy and received in good condition.

Love this material. It definitely exceeded my expectations and is used in multiple ways one of which is to model jewelry that I sell. Came as expected
