Product arrived promptly and in excellent condition. I am using it to connect two 150 ft. CAT 8 cables. Getting the connectors through the entrance of the left and right end pieces was a tight squeeze and required some effort to push it through. Once through they were easily connected to the middle section and resulted in a lossless connection. It appears to achieve a good watertight seal, although I didn't immerse it in water to verify it.

After one year of having a pair of these outside and going through many thunderstorms in Florida I did not see any sign of water intruding into these protectors and no sign of corrosion on the network cable connectors inside.If you have SNAGLESS network cables they may be too big to fit inside properly. The extra piece of plastic that is added to keep the connector release from snagging on other cables may make it larger than the inside diameter of this water resistant connector. I had one cable like that so I just cut off the piece of protective plastic that made it snagless.5 stars and highly recommended.

Works perfectly

I needed these to connect POE IP cams with pigtails to long Ethernet runs in an ice rink with humid conditions. I wanted to ensure the connections were protected from corrosion and condensation. These look to be well sealed.Terminated cables will fit through the holes with some effort. Cables with strain relief are a tight fit but will work.

Worked well for connection point located in a commercial kitchen for order printer where original open connection was exposed to grease/water. Easy install and no problems after 1+ months.

Work well in hot and humid climate outside

Highly recommend these if you have to extend ethernet in a humid space. They have metal mating plates for shield continuity and are passing Gb just fine.

When I got these in I thought my cat6e waterproof splice problems were over. It quickly became apparent they weren't. These things keep water out like the titanic after impact. I burned through 2 of them right after the first rainstorm. The next ones I made sure were nice and tight, one even accidentally stripping it was so tight. Believe it or not, that stripped one actually kept water out the longest. Now I've lost the last two. Suffice it to say I will be starting my search again as I will not be using these again.
