I followed the instructions for boiling the tire, using a rag soaked in soapy water, and along with the tire spoons and a bit of muscle, it did work. Took me several minutes of wrestling with a hot tire on the floor (oven mitts helped), but it worked! I have a 2 year old Ninebot and the fit was exactly as described. Your scooter will probably ride a little different with these tires, just take care to adjust your speed and turns at first. So great to not worry about flats ever again.

After dealing with flat tires regularly on my e-scooter, I opted to use a solid wheel instead.Installing it was a bit difficult, but after I got the hang of it, I learned that using a little bit of Vaseline in microwaving the tire makes it a lot easier to install. It's very hot though so it's important to have a towel or something to protect your hand from getting burned.My installation, I took it for a ride, I noticed that the ride was a little bit stiffer and harder than what's the air filled tires. Although it is stiffer I didn't notice that the scooter battery lasted a little bit more than with the air filled tires as well.I no longer have issues with flat tires on my ride, making this a great replacement.The bumpier ride is easy to deal with, cuz it's only slightly more bumpy than it was before.

I'm so glad these solid scooter tire replacements are available. I've had 2 flats already with my original tube tires and I've been procrastinating getting some solid ones because of the work I hear is involved in stalling solid tires.Well let me tell you, with the right tools like a vice grip or some C clamps with some wood studs to clamp down on one side and then press down on the other, the installation isn't that bad. Boiling the tires helps a lot to soften them up, you just have to wear gloves so you don't get burned.I can tell the ride is just a tad bit harder because you're not riding on air anymore, but you get used to it just like anything else. Overall, despite the installation worries, these solid scooter tires are definitely worth the effort of taking the wheels off and putting these tires on.Then they're basically worry free from then on. And definitely less work than having to fix a flat now and then since you have to take them off anyway to fix a tube tire so you might as well just do it once and get it over with. Definitely recommend!

I'm very experienced in swapping rubber on motorcycles (street and dirt), and at the top of my game I could remove and install new tires in 20 minutes. Even if it was trailside.I knew I was in trouble with these when they said to boil them, and then I saw the instruction photos showing the guy using 3 tire irons. Not easy to do with 2 hands, and a beadlock tool won't work with these tires.I really wanted to use these tires so badly, even if they are very heavy compared to tubed tires, but I had to call off the install after fighting with it for an hour and boiling them multiple times.Disappointing experience, but I hope to keep trying and maybe if I think of a trick to make it easier I'll make an update here.
