The Stripper Diaries
K**N
Getting to read someone’s diary.
It was short, and a little rough around the edges, but it was a glimpse into her young self, and what she was going through. Totally transparent. It must have taken guts to publish it.

Setting the Record Straight
first and Foremost - this book is neither good or terrible.2nd - being a sex worker and a con artist go hand in hand. You've got 3 seconds to make some guy buy YOU over someone else. You do what you gotta do and say what you gotta say.So it isn't surprising that this book would be a string of half and or embellished truths as lying becomes a second language in this industry. Her main offense is that she is neither a good or compelling liar.My main beef about this book is that it does not sincerely cater to any one demographic. So like I wouldn't say "oh you have to read this book before you become a stripper".Or "I was once a stripper and her story was my story".Nothing of that sort. What is most wrong about this book is that it is filled with sort ofs -It's sort of funny. It's sort of emotional. It's sort of sad.It sort of rings true. It's sorta heart felt. It's sorta scary. It sorta describes the life of a stripper...There is no one concept that the author takes ownership of. So there's that. Now to be fair - Being a former teen stripper does not somehow induct you into a circle of naturally great authorship - and this is the era of self publishing after all - we can't win at both.Have you pulled yourself out of a life of sex drugs and rock and roll and written books about it? (Let's give a little credit where credit is due).So in summary - is this a good book that I would recommend to anyone. NO.Are 90% of the reviews a little unjust and misunderstood. YESIf you like this girl and have nothing but time and money - sure read it.If you have any other combination of life circumstances - Amazon may have a few million other options you might also be interested in.

Dark Fascinating Book
I read this book in an hour or two today. It is fascinating. It starts off with Trish loving being a stripper for the first couple of days and slowly descending into the hell of the dark seedy world of the sex industry. This is the stuff you don't hear about when rappers are glamorizing strip clubs and you don't take away from Rihanna's Pour it Up video. I learned a lot from this book. Stripping is dangerous. It is amazing how quickly things can get really bad. One thing leads to another and there are rapes, murders, people are pounding on your door trying to kill you, you're barely alive in the hospital, you're hooked on drugs and your mind has gone from traumatized to emotionally numb--and you feel stuck. All these things take place in the book. It's scary stuff literally. Trish has gone through a lot of horrible stuff, which makes her decision to be the positive, life loving person she is all the more admirable. I'm so happy she's made it and is successful with youtube. This book is really good. It is fascinating hearing someone lay out the truth that was never meant to be read by anyone. It is sad and enlightening. I am grateful to her for publishing it.

Interesting
I definitely found this more interesting than ''the history of my insanity''. I already knew a lot of the information put in the first book, and though Trisha comes off as a poor writer, I am very forgiving about the book's flaws, as I was only looking to learn what she has experienced, and not judging how she puts it or what she does not write. But ''the stripper diaries'' was definitely intriguing, as it was a glimpse of the life of a stripper. I would however have preferred it to be longer, but since it dates back to 2007, none of that can be changed.Maybe you don't have to know about Trisha Paytas and her youtube channel to like this book, but I assure you you will appreciate it a lot more if you watch her videos daily and are fond of her. This book has given me a great respect for Trisha, it's short so you can read it over a day, but it's a lot of information that makes you think of it for days after having read it.

unsure
Okay, I just received this book about 30 minutes ago. started reading it and im in to it.. all the reviews say something about it being fake because it says the name cristian grey ?? but it says cristian bale? no where does it say cristian grey.. so I was a little confused with that.. im only on about page 20.. personally it kinda does seem unrealistic but then again I cant say so because I know nothing about stripping. especially in LA. i just wanted to state there is not even the word grey in it. it does say "fifty shades" but not as in the book ? So i don't understand why that is being said? if someone knows please explain.. i love trisha, i never buy or really read but im a big fan so i had to.. weather its fake or not its still something that trish wrote...

Interesting, but some things just dont make sense
I guess you could say that I am somewhat of a Trisha Paytas fan. I find her odd but intriguing enough that I still want to know more. When ordering this I was very excited to read it because I had followed some of the "stripper diaries" YouTube videos that she had posted and I wanted to know more.Although I enjoyed this book and it entertained me, sadly I have to say that I question her credibility. As many other people have mentioned there are references in the book that just do not add up. I also read the History of my Insanity book that came before this one and I remember her saying that she never got into drugs, only alcohol. Then in this book she talks several times about getting high. I am confused. Not sure if this is one of her "Andy Koffman" type stunts to keep us guessing or if she is just really horrible at covering up her white lies in the book.Nevertheless, I would still reccomend this book to any of her Youtube fans. Also, it is a VERY quick read. I finished it in less than 2 hours.

If you love Trisha, you'll love this!
I am a massive fan of Trisha, and have always been interested in her life. This was such an interesting read, and very eye-opening to understanding her as a person I feel. It is very thin though (not like a regular book) so I finished it within a couple of hours if that. I'd have loved to read the whole diary but now I'm just being nosey! If you're a Trisha fan then you'll love this. I am yet to purchase more of her books but this one always interested me the most, definitely worth a read.

Stay away!
Such a terrible book. If she wrote it at the time these things happened, she is an idiot and I seriously question her sanity and judgement, if she wrote it to be entertaining its just terrible writing. Plus it was stupidly expensive for what it was, you could read it in an afternoon.

I love this lady
I love this lady, shes wild, naughty, endearing at the same time but you'll always get honesty with her,she is an open book, lots of typos and a very amateurishly wrote book but it was somewhat entertaining.

Love Trisha, hate this book
I love Trish but this book is really awful. Did anyone even edit it? It reads like a real diary, but that's also the downfall - there is no plot, just disconnected entries relating her sad life as a stripper/escort.Glad to see that she is in a better place then when she wrote this diary. I love Trish's youtube videos but her book was a bit of a disappointment.

An interesting insight...
I love Trisha Paytas and everything shes achieved so was excited to read her 2nd book. I guess I was slightly dissapointed :( The book is not very long and its written in diary entry form but theres no real structure. Its very random at points and makes you think that you've missed pages when you havent! But saying that the parts that do make the book were interesting and give you an insight into Trishas early life as a stripper! Definitely worth a look!
