If you are looking for a cheap solution, you can buy any cheap simple filter. It’ll save you 20 or so.

I’ve had insinkerator instant heater for a while. It’s great but the water taste was off.I googled and somewhere found that filter would help. And O boy I could feel the instant difference and I love it.I was able to install it myself. It did take me few hours and a trip to Home Depot- but I’m not a diy person. I’m pretty sure someone who’s handy could do it in minutes.Anyways I’m so happy that I can finally enjoy my warm water, tea and coffee.

I have been using this type of water filter for many years

My insta-hot water started tasting funky after I had my unit serviced by the company. Immediately after installation of this filtration system, my tea tastes great now! I do think it was expensive though.

The filter was easy to install and works well. My complaint is only the high cost of the kit and future semi annual replacement filters.

The system works well and was relatively straightforward to install. My only complaint is that there is a slight leak that comes from where the filter goes into the system. If there was going to be a leak I would have thought that it would come from a water line connection as opposed to an area that doesn’t involve any of the installation process. The leak is minor (a couple of drops an hour), but I am reaching out to Amazon for a replacement.The replacement arrived quickly and I was able to determine that it was the initial filter cartridge that was the problem. All of the remaining parts are working perfectly so this was a quick and easy fix. Considering that the filter cartridge is the most expensive part of the system this is a little disconcerting that the first one was defective but hopefully it is not indicative of quality issues going forward.

Easy to install. checked it with a water tester, and much better than the Brita filter

Filter works well. Already bought a second one for replacement. A bit expensive though.
