A good stirrer for small amounts. I can stir 300 cc of olive oil adequately.

Heavy duty stirrer at a very nice price.
This unit appears to be well made. It is heavy, sits flat, grabs the stir bar and holds it very well, and the speed adjustment is smooth. I have tested it out on some thick E-Liquid and it had no trouble pulling a nice vortex.Like others, the unit had a strong chemical smell. It was not diesel, but something else. It dissipated quickly after unboxing and was unnoticeable within 30 minutes. It was packaged well and arrived undamaged in two days. Much quicker than I was expecting.I would buy this unit from Duda Energy again. I am happy with the purchase.

Stir bar won't spin.
I just got this and the stir bar won't spin. It just stands on one end and does nothing when you turn it on. Doesn't matter what speed it's on. Just bounces around and ultimately stands on one end as you turn it up. Does not create a vortex of any kind whatsoever. Doesn't stir crap.UPDATE: I returned mine and got another, it worked fine for a week then quit again after I moved it to a better location. It makes a scraping noise as another reviewer describes and now doesn't spin the bar once again. This is not well made.

Works good but be prepared to fix
I got the stir plate and it did not work and i heard something rattling around. Wanting to use this for a home brewing project i decided to open it up. One of the pieces was missing a screw and had to have a wire sodered back on. A few other screws were loose. I was able to fox it that night. After a few uses some bolts need lock-tight to stay from rattling apart.

Excellent Stirrer
Excellent build quality and like other smelled of diesel when arrived in box. This is a very sturdy mixer and the build is quite solid. Only one complaint is the plate the flasks sits on isn't level and could look better. Other than that this works great and even fastest setting doesn't throw the bar.

Good while it lasted.
This stirrer worked great for 14 months and then it suddenly just stopped spinning. I contacted Duda Energy and they said it was out of warranty but they could provide email support. Basically they told me to open the case and look for loose wires. There were none but it still does not work. I was happy with the unit while it lasted but it seems to me it should have lasted longer than a year. I will look elsewhere for a replacement.

Fulfilled My Wishes as a Replacement base for my Vitalizer
I got this magnetic stirrer to replace the base part of my Vitalizer. My old base unit finally broke down after many years of use. The new units online were about 450 dollars. So I decided to get this magnetic stirrer and use it with the pitcher part of the old unit. The Vitalizer is a unit that microclusters and ph mineralizes water, and has some documentation about being useful as part of an anti-cancer protocol. It also creates small molecular clusters of water that enter the cells more easily and take out toxins. The difference between microclustered water and normal water shows up in two ways. One is that it has a thinner surface tension. Two is that it passes through the body quicker (a lot quicker, often in 30 minutes or less) as part of how it helps to detox the body. When I put the pitcher unit on the HJ-1, at first it did not seem to respond. The Vitalizer, I found, has a much more powerful motor and inner magnet driving it than the HJ-1 (which is a lot less expensive too). I found that if I only added half the water, however, that the HJ-1 did fine, created the little tornado and made decent microclustered water. I am happy with this unit as a replacement for the Vitalizer base unit. The HJ-1 does not have a timer, but I have added an ozonator to the microclustering process and it has a timer (so that the water is microclustered, ozonated, and mineralized).A few notes: The HJ-1 comes with a magnetic pellet, so that you do not need to buy a pack of them. It says this on the Amazon page and in some of the reviews, but you have to look around to find it. The unit did have a slight "diesel smell" but it vanished in less than 30 minutes (the ozonator may have helped this happen faster, as some reviews mentioned it lasting a bit longer). I found that some glass jars have a curved sediment bottom and did not have a flat enough surface to allow it to spin in the middle. I found that some old coffee pots I got at a thrift store (left overs from some old coffee makers) were ideal. They still have a trench that the pellet can get stuck in, but I found that if I put the HJ-1 on its slowest setting and move the pot so that the center of the unit is over the pellet, then I can catch it and then move the pot into the middle of the unit's base disc. The magnetic pellet then spins in the middle of the flat glass part in the middle of the pot, and then I can turn it up to full speed if I want to. I find that the magnetic pellet, the coffee pot, and the ozonator makes very good microclustered drinking water also. I put the ozonator just below the surface. I put 12 cups of water into the coffee pot.I give the unit 5 stars because it does what I want it to do and was very affordable.

Tried stiring about 800 ml of yeast starter yesterday and barely got a vortex. I think it is underpowered
