Q: Do the suction cups prevent moving the chair out if the way after a shower?

There are small spots on the suction cups. You can grab the spot and remove the cup easily, then move the shower chair out

Q: Does it rust? One review mentioned that the tubing was steel, not aluminum and that it began to rust immediately.

After using the chair, it needs to drain since water gets into the legs through the adjustable holes. Laying the chair down at the front end letting it drain then laying the chair unto its back to let it drain. If you don't do this there will be rust but if it drains and stays dry than no rust water will come out.

Q: How thick is the chair when it's folded?

It’s maybe 3” in the middle and about 5” at the arms
