Works as expected
Based on initial reviews, I was hesitant to try this device, but I'm pleased to report it functions flawlessly with audio. I suspect previous negative reviews stemmed from insufficient USB-C video cables. This review aims to clarify that issue. Testing with a portable monitor confirmed successful operation with a PS5, Steam Deck, and Nintendo Switch.

Works with AR Xreal glasses PRO 2
Works as advertised, I use it with PlayStation 5 an Xreal pro 2 glasses, connect one usb C cable form the PS5 to this adapter for powering Xreal glasses, and then the hdmi from the PS5 into the adapter, then the usbc from the glasses to the adapter. Really crisp and good video.

Does not work as advertised
I purchased this to use with my new Nreal Air AR Glasses, which is right in the item title on Amazon. I needed this as opposed to the official adapter which required charging and the limited time of a battery to use. The official adapter worked fine, minus the limited charge, so I knew this device was the issue. I did look into solutions, performed the firmware update to the glasses as recommended by others, and it still didn't work. I also tried using it with several different devices including Switch, Raspberry Pi, Steam Deck, Laptop, and Desktop PCs. Nothing worked with this adapter, and every one of them worked with the official one.

No audio - headphones required for Nreal Air AR glasses
This allows use of an external cable to power and use the Nreal Air AR glasses, so that you don’t have to worry about the battery adapter running out. However, audio does not work, so you will need to use headphones for audio.I tested this using an iPhone and a Nintendo Switch. Bluetooth headphones worked for the iPhone, and plug in headphones worked for the switch, both while being displayed on the glasses. The audio issue is not a huge issue, as headphones tend to be better than the audio the Nreal glasses provide.

Works great for Nreal/Xreal Air glasses.
Needed a device to hookup my google tv device to my nreal air. Love that device is pretty small in compact form, plus having usbc charging instead of micro usb that similar devices have. No audio (google tv) through glasses but using bluetooth headset. Havent tested on all devices yet, but working on the only device my previous powered hdmi to usbc device would previous just picture white screen.

Works great on Xreal Air 2 glasses
The device works great. Just as advertised. There was only one minor issue. I couldn't get any sound at first. But that's more on Xreal's side.Anyone with Xreal Air 2 looking to buy this. To get sound you need to put the glasses on a different mode. Just long press the volume up button until you hear two beeps. That will get them on the audio pass through mode. It's a bit of a nuisance having to do this every time you want to use it, but is way better than having to charge the xreal adapter.

It works*
This could’ve worked a lot better and maybe it does I’m just doing something wrong. I brought it to use with my portable monitor but for some reason it doesn’t supply enough power to the monitor for it to stay one. I also tried it with one of my friends AR glasses and it worked perfectly. It’s really simple and easy to use, and it’s definitely worth it over other more expensive cables with short lengths cause you can control your own length. But in truth I just wish it had a bit more power to it you know

Does what it claims
After trying a BUNCH of hdmi to usb c Adaptors, this is the only on that manages to pass alt dp video to my asus portable monitor and power it at the same time.Granted, there are a few that I didn't get, but here are the ones that DON'T work.Any splitter that only does audio and power, regular docks that output hdmi + hdmi to usb c. Rokid air hub, thunderbolt dock, and pd usb c hubs that only does data. This one does have a few issues, but I'm overlooking them for the 5 star due to the price.Cons:Power delivery isn't great, aka it will re-negotiate.Not able to fully power the portable monitor.Gets fairly hot, but it's metallic chassis is okay for now.Overall, very happy. Now lets see how long it'll last
