Inspiring book idea but amateurish presentation and skill level of author

It would have been nice to have some practice pages
I was hoping for instructions to go along with the to do projects. It would have been nice to have some practice pages, where things were broken down. This is NOT for beginners.

This book is simply an idea book. No instructions. It wasn't helpful at all for a beginner.

Not "beginner", but gorgeous and generous
The book is not what I thought it would be, it does not include any instructions on how to hand letter--just contains pages of hand lettering examples and partially filled pages for you to complete--I would not call it beginner, thus four stars. However, the examples are gorgeous and when you purchase the book, you get a code for a free .pdf download of all the examples (frame worthy), a greyed-out page for you to trace over, and a blank (but decorated) page for you to wing it when you feel comfortable. That's very generous and entirely worth it, I will get a lot of use and practice out of this book.
