Not interesting!
I didn't feel it was well written. It was disjointed notes on a guy's day and not interesting.

Fascinating Storyteller - timely first-hand account of the war on terror
The author tells a fascinating true life adventure story as a contractor in Afghanistan. Written in a raw, emotional style, the reader can vividly connect with the author's experiences as he goes from average Joe living a normal 8 to 5 life to being dropped into the military world of a forward operating base in a war zone. The cast of characters he shares his days with seem like the misfits of Gilligan's Island, with a few incoming bombs thrown in. At times, the author's chatty style is reminiscent of Bill Bryson's travel books, as he includes many interesting facts about Afghanistan and its people. At other times, the author is brutally honest about his opinions on many shocking aspects of our military system - our outsourcing of death, the lack of governmental oversight of contracting companies, the deplorable number of rapes committed and the disgraceful way victims are treated. I find it amazing that so little has been written about the human side of the longest war in our nation's history, and I am grateful that the author put his thoughts and keen observations on paper and shared them with the public. It's an excellent read.

I hope I see more of his work I enjoyed all the little coments the author included
Couldn't put it down. Very well written. As a former civilian contractor too, I saw a lot of the same things the author saw. I hope I see more of his work I enjoyed all the little coments the author included.
