Just as expected!
Was on my bucket list of things to try once, just because. I came, I bought, and I ate. It is, what it is. It tasted exactly like everyone said it would. Burnt, salty, odd but not offensive if you dab dab just a smidge on hot buttered toast. BUT the best part of that meal was the butter and the toast. Ahem! I’ll save the rest……….for later……to share……

From the land down under.
What can I say? You either love of loathe this product. It's great on buttered toast and it can be mixed in to stews and sauces for a deep umami flavor. It's certainly an acquired taste that is WELL WORTH acquiring!

It'll last forever
I bought this after a trip to camp where a couple counselors brought Vegemite from their home in Australia. I had it on a few pieces of toast and it was delicious. It then went in my pantry to be forgotten about. Fast forward to last week and I opened it up and had another piece of toast. It's still good. Definitely recommended if you want shelf-stable spread.

Flavorful and a must try
I decided to purchase vegemite because I was so curious about trying it. You always see videos or articles online with titles or headlines such as "Americans try vegemite for the first time!" And they always hate it. Being from the US myself, I couldn't be sure as to what I would think of the condiment so I purchased the smallest size I could find for a reasonable price (excluding the packets and squeeze tube). The first time I had it, the application was some buttered whole-grain toast with a modest spread of vegemite. The stuff was perfect. The butter and the bread meld well with the vegemite. The condiment itself tastes like an aged sharp parmesan or extra-aged sharp cheddar while being a bit salty and a little yeasty. I truly loved it and have tried it on sandwiches since then. My favorite application is still vegemite toast. Buying this product is worth it just to see if you like the taste of vegemite. Plus the jar lasts a couple of months because you only use a small amount at a time.

Sadness
The safety seal/cap wasnt on properly when I received it. So when I was eating it on toast (first time ever trying it) I couldn't stop wondering "is it supposed to taste like this or am I eating poison" bc the tamper proof seal had popped off. Idk how that could have happened, but it did. Maybe I'm stupid for still eating it but it didn't seem like it had been tampered with, it just seemed like a very odd occurrence. Either way, it was a big drag. I wanted to try it bc the IIconics from WWE said they like it. Now I'm not comfortable purchasing it on Amazon again. I'd try finding it in a store (but good luck cos I couldn't find it anywhere)

The worst stuff ever
I ordered this because my sixteen year old son wanted to try it. It shipped quick and arrived in intact condition. He was so excited. Of coarse my husband, myself, and my youngest son also had to try it. This stuff tastes straight up like nasty unwashed ass. I do not even know how anyone can stomach to eat this. If you are just getting this because you are curious to see what it tastes like well good luck. We just about threw up when we tried it.

Bottle looks different
I bought this product because our office did a culture gift theme for Christmas. I picked Australia for my secret person. I ordered this product because vegemite is a well known Australian staple. I'm really bummed that the bottle says "pizza" The whole reason I picked this product was the way the package looked on the site. It was almost $20 when I ordered it, took about a month to arrive and looks nothing like what the package showed. I regret this purchase. I have no idea how it taste as it is a gift. If the price, time to ship and appearance don't matter to you, knock yourself out. Otherwise move on.
