As a basketball player for over 40 years, I was forever trying to find a better way to organise an ice bath for my ankles after a game. Finding these has been a god send.They fit perfectly and secure in place with their own straps so no need for towels under ice packs, or filling bags from the ice machine.Because it is gel and not frozen water, it causes a lot less mess than ice baths.Stays as cold as my ex-wife's heart for a solid 30 minutes.

The back part was ok but the down and front did not freeze my feet as the liquid in not enough and the protecting layer is blocking the too little thin layer of frozen liquid in the front to cool the feet.

I buy stuff on Amazon all the time and this is only the second review I have ever written - this ice pack works just like I hoped it would. After using it for the first time, I knew I had found something special. I fractured my ankle about a month ago and had surgery to fix the break a little more than two weeks ago. My doctor stressed the importance of the PRICE (protect, rest, ice, compression, elevate) protocols for my injury. After trying crushed ice in a ziplock bag, and two other kinds of freezer-type packs that were less than effective, I struggled to find something that was malleable after being in the freezer, soft, comfortable, convenient, reuseable and stayed cold long enough for the recommended 20 minute duration. This ice pack looks a little clunky, but it is very well designed and works great. The minky lining is really comfortable and evenly distributes the chill in a soothing way. It covers my ankle and foot all around and stays put. I use it over the ace bandage wrapping around my foot and ankle and the level of cold is just right. I bought two so that one would always be cold. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs an ice pack for their ankle.

Normal foot size this will work just fine. With my 14 EEEEEE Feet the middle strap would not make it around to latch. Soft Inner lining gets frosted in freezer. Suggest wearing a heavy sock to keep from burning skin. Also not recommended for those of an ankle fusion or replacement. The cold transfers to the metal in your body.
