Although the vendor makes the back of the product available for review by prospective purchasers, I assumed it contained just the usual information about what's inside. Wrong!Upon reading of the hazards presented, my husband said, "Don't open that inside." While I have decided to just get rid of the stuff.

I have finally used this for Chalk Paint....FANTASTIC STUFF for my application. I mixed it well with a small amount of water to a cake batter consistency then added that to my choice of paint. I used it, it is great. I have it stored in a 2 qt recycled plastic jar. I haven't used it in about 2 months, and it still seems like it will be just fine. I shake it around a bit now and then to check it... ( A review I had read said to use it up in about 2 weeks....NO...not necessary. I waited the 2 weeks and tried it again, then a week after that....still is fine) Will be using it in about 2 more weeks, and then making more in different colors.

Says food grade in the listing, but back of the package says it's hazardous to humans and domestic animals.

It arrived a little leaky. not a big leak, but enough to get powder all over your hands when pulling the inner bag out.

The chalk paint I made using this turned out great, very smooth & easy to apply. I've tried other mediums, such as grout & baking soda, but using this results in a far superior paint which doesn't clump. Leftover paint will actually keep for a while - I used some one week after mixing, I just added a little more water to thin it out.

Great stuff. One of my four chickens lays soft shelled eggs. I mix this with there feed. Now the weak eggs are like store bought, the others are tough as heck. The bag it comes in is very robust and easily handles being opened and resealed multiple times. Will buy again.

Great product! -1 star for packaging. It's a nice looking and feeling package but it just doesn't have the durability to use this product slowly. I had to put mine in a gallon Ziploc bag after about 10 openings. No complains at all about the calcium itself, super fine powder and very clean.

Made chalk paint using this, worked great, looks nice.
