The knife for me is good, it's a large knife but since it's overall weight is on the lighter side, it makes it easy to carry. The blade out of the box was very sharp and the lock up is solid up and down with a little play left and right. The action is smooth and pretty easy to deploy since the blade is so long. I wouldn't consider this a hard use knife however, for me I use it as an EDC blade that can handle larger tasks that a typical knife can't do but be mindful it isn't going to last long if your trying to use it as a construction knife since the blade is thin and better at slicing. Overall I think it's a great value for the amount of blade your getting in S35VN and I recommend this product.

A nice basic simple but well made knife. Not Spyderco's fanciest, but this is a knife you are not afraid to carry and lose, and it is super comfortable in my jeans's front pocket after moving the clip to tip up carry. The fat part of the blade now rides low in the pocket where it does not impede your hand from reaching other items deeper in the same pocket. The scales have great grip. The action is not super loose, and when it is loosened to let an unlocked blade free fall, the blade loses its centering. When the pivot is tightened enough to center the blade, the action is a bit tight, but not not enough to prevent one finger spidey hole slow roll opening. A flick won't work however. Such is the nature of a washer pivod vs ball bearings. This knife is a great value for a full sized 4 inch blade. It will remain in my EDC rotation.

The blade is outstanding, but I’m here to rave about the handle and carry clip. Excellent pattern for maintaining a good grip (and the beefy size helps). And I know a pocket clip is just a pocket clip, but this one is one of the best I’ve used. For a knifeOf this size, it’s remarkably easy to carry in a pocket without feeling too heavy or bulky. Great job again Spyderco!

Heavy duty knife

I love all 3 of these for different reasons. Resilience lightweight as an edc, resilience g10; tried to mirror polish the blade, first try at building my own white linen micarta scales , and finally my resilience g10 that an edc straight out of the box. I carry all of them. They dont carry too large, really. You dont have to worry about banging them up a little because they are inexpensive. All 3 knives are great

The upgraded steel is amazing. Get this knife if you want a lighter larger knife with great steel.

Knife passes sharp test outta the box (shaves and glides thru thin paper). Have an old one in 8crmov13 that is passable but not as sharp as this cpm s35.

Rock solid. Love the fancy steel.
