VolkmanSeed Small Animal Squirrel Gourmet Mix Healthy Formulated Diet Food 4lbs

I’ve tried a few different brands and my backyard squirrels like this brand the best. Seems to be very high quality and is now part of my monthly subscribe and save delivery!

I put the Squirrel Gourmet in a double cat food dish with water on one side and 2 handfuls of the mix in the other and the squirrels come running up to the porch before I can put the dish down! They really seem to enjoy it but they pick out the corn kernels. Little bit of cleanup from the sunflower seed shells but other than that I will purchase this again. I put out the dish 2 or 3 times a week and it’s a nice treat for my little critter friends.

I bought these for my office and the local squirrels love it. Bag lasts a long time.

The mix looked fresh and tasty. Of course, I did not sample the squirrel food, but it smelled fresh. Unfortunately, I wanted a no-waste mix. The squirrels and the bluejays loved the food, especially the peanuts! I liked that the almonds were easy for the squirrels to crack open. However, for some reason, the squirrels I feed do not like whole corn kernels, so they push them to the side of the feeders. The birds did not touch the corn either. With the whole corn kernels left and shells on the ground, I am trying another mix made by another company. The package arrived today, and I will know soon if the latest package meets their discriminating tastes. I supplement their food with additional hulled sunflower seeds, cracked corn, and nuts. I marked the product down a star because of the corn, but other than that, the squirrels love the mix. The doves eat the cracked corn.
