Works perfectly with my Jet wood lathe
Frankly, I bought this because it promised to arrive quickly, and because it was less expensive than other tooth-ring drive centers. I have no complaints from using it, and can report that a few times it has worked properly when I accidentally stalled the small blank I was in the process of turning.

Teeth and size of head too small
Appears to be a quality item but design is not great. The teeth and diameter of the head are too small to hold the wood. It pretty quickly starts to just spin in the wood at higher lathe speeds.

TEXALAN WOOD LATHE DRIVE CENTER
Replaced my original drive center with the TEXALAN. Great holding power with teeth that bites into the work piece. Also the headstock spur center is spring loaded which also exerts extra pressure against the wood that you're turning. I am using this on a WEN 3421 mini wood lathe. Well-made highly recommended five stars.

More bite and control than the drive center that came with my lathe
This drive center is easier to use and holds wood blanks more securely. The spring loaded center is a nice added touch.
