Worth it!
These provide excellent value for the price. They're smooth, easy to fill, and don't leak. They also look really nice and come in a protective case, which I didn't expect. It's not a fancy case at all, but hey- it's free! These do sometimes take a little writing to get started, but storing them point down (cap on, of course) helps to avoid that. Another downside is sometimes the caps take a little finagling to get them to post. To me, these two little quirks are not a problem at all, seeing as I paid so little for these. My Pilot Metropolitan and my Lamy Safari do work better than these pens, so if you're wanting an upgrade, either of those would be a good next step. But for a sturdy, inexpensive everyday writer, these are sure hard to beat!

Cheap and cheerful and no worries about damage as a result.
I can take these places I would never take my Sailor or Waterman.

Hidden Gem
The Jinhao X750 is a surprisingly good fountain pen. I actually do prefer it to some of my more expensive pens. It's simple, always writes and looks like a million bucks. What more could you want in a pen ? A great bargain if you ask me.

My fountain pen of choice
I have a small, and growing, collection of Jinhao pens. They are comfortable to hold and write nicely. Very good pen for a reasonable price.

Really cheap, but works really well, can be modified to work with the Zebra G nib
I've always thought that fountain pens were cool, but as a kid I could only ever find the non-refillable disposable ones. I saw these as recommended, and was surprised how cheap they were. I did a little research and saw that people modified these as well to work with the Zebra G nib, and I was also able to do so. It didn't interrupt the flow as long as I didn't write too fast. I've included an image of it, but don't judge my style too much, I'm still learning, haha! However, you should be sure to use a decent paper with the Zebra G nib, since it's so thin, it tends to dig into the paper no matter what ink you use, and causes the ink to bleed into the paper. If you're using the standard medium nib that the Jinhao comes with, you shouldn't have any problems with this.I'd recommend this pen for anyone who is trying to reduce their plastic use, as pens (the typical non-reusable ones) are a decent amount of plastic. With these, if you're using the included ink converter, you can just continue to refill it with the same bottle of ink for quite some time. It might not be the best for those on the go, I'm not too sure how willing I would be to toss one of these into my bag with other items, for fear of leakage.

This is ridiculously good for the price...
I was duly impressed with the feel and smoothness of the Duke Ruby I ordered a few months ago. When I saw this, I decided to take a gamble - I mean, $7.99: why not?Much to my surprise this pen compares favorably to the Duke Ruby, at 1/3 the price! - I realize that $30 is already very cheap for a fountain pen, but this set me back $8, feels pretty good, has heft and rests well in the hand, and the nib is reasonably smooth. As with the Ruby I would say it's 3x as good as the low-water mark for inexpensive pens, the disappointing Parker IM.Don't get me wrong - It's not like my Pilot Vanishing Point or Fermo, and it really won't replace your Mont Blanc, but it glides decently well: it feels good to use, and at about 40g cap-included you're getting a bargain: where else can you find a pen that's nice to write with, at 20¢/gram?
