Pricey but convenient!
Product was purchased for a post op hip replacement patient for the convenience and safety in the shower. Bars are normal size and the scent is quite strong but it's more for the convenience than anything else. Each bar was $5.00 so I find that pricey and will not reorder!

Uniquely branded artisanal soap bars with an innovative approach but I have a couple of issues...
What's included:- 4 bars of LIARTY soap-on-a-rope bar soapVariations include:- Tonic Musk (Ative)- Whiskey and Tobacco- Spruce Up- Black TieLIARTY's Soap-On-A-Rope is certainly one of the most interesting "looking" bar soap brands that I have encountered. You get a mix of retro/western/formal look to what you receive, but this nor here nor there for me.What I want to know is how effective the soap is and whether or not this soap offers a value proposition making it worth purchasing. Below is my review...To begin with, once you get past opening the box of one of these bar soaps you are immediately greeted with a large bar of soap (weighing approximately 200 grams) which is about twice a typical bar of soap (see pictures for comparison with Irish Spring bar soaps). Additionally, the bar soap comes with a rope that has some practical purposes such as having the rope looped around your wrist as you use the soap, or hanging it on a caddy when your finished in the shower. If you are using this as a straight hand soap by your sink, you have the option to simply cut off the rope as well. Its interesting and unique and innovative but there are a couple of drawbacks. First, if you have small children, a rope tied in this way can possibly get tangled with a small child and should be something to keep in mind. Second, the rope itself can be a harbinger for bacteria growth. Stylistically, this looks great but practically, some caution should be observed depending on your circumstances. Incidentally, I cut the rope off of one of the bars at the base and found the visible part of the rope to weigh about 3 grams so its not a significant part of the overall weight of the bar soap, for those wondering.Second, its important to talk about the ingredient list and here is where I have a problem. Only three of the soaps list the ingredients. One of the bars (the "Spruce Up" bar) has no ingredients listed at all. I am in no way an expert on regulations but for me, I do not feel comfortable putting soaps on my face or other parts of my body when I do not know what they contain. Having said that, the other three bars contain the same nine (9) ingredients albeit in a slightly different order. In particular the "Whiskey and Tobacco" variation lists Shea Butter as the 3rd ingredient, whereas the other two with ingredients listed, have Shea Butter as the 8th ingredient. This can be important, because as the Whiskey and Tobacco variation notes, its marketed towards "Face, body AND BEARD". This makes perfect sense, because Shea Butter is great for softening skin and "comparatively speaking" this makes that bar better for a man's face especially when he has a beard or facial hair in general. The other two bars have the ingredients listed in the exact same order suggesting that they "may" be identical in nature and just branded differently. The real difference is likely in fragrance although the bars of soap all basically smell the same to me to be honest.Having briefly mentioned these items here is a breakdown of the list of ingredients. For me, when I review a product that goes on my body, I need to know what I am putting on myself.INGREDIENT BREAKDOWN:Sodium Palmitate: This ingredient basically means that the soap base is made of palm oil vs animal fat (good for animal lovers). Since palm oil is a saturated fat and hard oil, it makes for a hard bar of soap, which these bars are. Bars made of this can be a little drying in nature, and the natural lather not as “foamy” as other based soaps.Sodium Cocoate: This is a surfactant meant to help cleanse the skin and is pretty common in soap bars.Water/Eau/Aqua: Water is used in the soap making process and is essentially used to help particular ingredients in the soap bar combine. Obviously, you don’t find a puddle of water in your soap bar box.Glycerin: Glycerin is obtained from a variety of oils and its not listed here whether it is naturally derived or not. Glycerin helps to ensure that your skin will maintain its own moisture and protect it from drying. Put another way, if you have ever washed your hands frequently and notice they feel or get dry, glycerin helps protect your skin from that.Fragrance or Parfum: The one ingredient I do not like in these soap bars (or any soap bars). Parfum or Fragrance is basically what it sounds like “the smell” of the soap. The problem that I have with this ingredient is that it’s synthetically derived and can result in irritation. For me, it’s a hit and miss type of thing. Since companies never state how they fragrance is derived or what specific fragrance is used, some tend to irritate me and others do not, but I don’t know until I have tried a soap. Thankfully, this soap has had zero negative impact for me.Sodium Chloride: This is basically salt and is used as a thickening agent. Its extremely common.Palmitic Acid: Is partly what palm oil is made of and contributes to the hardening and lather process mentioned regarding Sodium Palmitate.Shea Butter: This maybe my favourite ingredient in soaps and body washes as well as shaving creams. Shea butter has terrific properties for one’s skin and can soften the skin making it useful as an ingredient in shaving products. It can also be anti-inflammatory and is an ingredient that I like to find in any soap that I will wash my face with. Shea butter is also packed with vitamins and is an emollient that helps lock in moisture. Sanitizers that contain shea butter can help keep your hands feeling soft and help fight that dryness you get when using a hand sanitizer that we have all become used to using by now.EDTA: The final ingredient in all the bars of soap is EDTA which is typically used to increase shelf life and reduce the amount of scum created by a soap bar.Let me talk about my experience using the soap.First, the size of the soap is interesting. I have never held soap bars this large in my hands before and it's a different feel in your hands. The soap is hard and lathers relatively well, without all the extra chemical-helpers used to create foaming etc so that I really appreciate.Second, I do prefer a palm oil based soap over animal based soap, for ethical reasons.Third, the soap does a great job at cleaning and I notice that I am actually using less than I would a typical bar ensuring that I will be using a single bar for weeks (when measured using hand washing).Next, when rating the strength of scent, I would rate it perhaps a 4 out of 10 if I use Irish Spring original as a 10 out of 10. This soap has a modest scent that doesn't last too long after you leave the shower. You probably wont smell it unless you put your hand up to your nose. For those with sensitive skin like myself, this will be an appreciated brand that won't leave you feeling irritated or itchy coming out of the shower. Additionally, you won't be left with dry skin irritation either.OVERALL:In summary, this artisanal branded soap are an interesting mix of soap bars. I appreciate the lack of chemical-helpers and artificial colors and the fact that the soaps are "plant based" vs being "animal based". The list of ingredients are quite good although not quite as "natural" as they could be, especially when it comes to fragrance. Still, the quality is there and so too is the abundance of soap one gets vs other artisanal-type of soaps. I personally, am not a big fan of the rope concept as it can be an issue if you have small kids but if you don't, it can provide a very useful feature for sure. Its a mild scented soap where all the bars look identical and it works for a sensitive skin type such as myself.Still, the lack of ingredient listing is a cause of concern for me and I dock one star for that lack of transparency. As a result, I have rated these bar soaps at 4 stars out of 5, and would recommend them if you feel like not having ingredients on one of the bars is not something that concerns you. The other three bars are quite good quality bars.Cheers.

Manly-Sized Soap-On-A-Rope in four unique, fresh, and light scents.
This review evaluates the “Natural Soap Bath Bar Bundle” made by LIARTY.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging. There is not much to this item out of the box: Four (4) individually boxed bars of soap (200g/8.46oz each, 800g/33.84oz of soap total).First impressions: A soap rating to me depends on the following: cleaning, ability to lather, the longevity of the bar, and scent. Only the criteria of scent are subjective, so I will deal with that evaluation first. Each one of the four soap bars had a unique, fresh, and light scent. I found it pleasant and not overpowering but it could be slightly more pronounced for my liking. The bars are a manly 7.05oz (200g) size which is double the typical deodorant bar size. Each bar has a large embedded rope that fits easily over the largest of wrists and helps you firmly keep a hold of it. The soap lathers up easily and rinses off without any oiliness or chalky residue. It removes the toughest grime from outside work. My skin was left feeling refreshed but not dry.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am satisfied with the product. At a current price of $29.99 for 800g/33.84oz ($0.89/oz), I feel it is fairly priced to other economy deodorant bars that typically cost about $0.60-$0.75/oz that doesn’t have a rope.In summary: “Natural Soap Bath Bar Bundle” made by LIARTY is a variety pack of deodorant soaps with unique, fresh scents. You leave your shower refreshed, clean, and without dried-out skin. It is priced fairly at $0.89/oz or approximately $3.75 per typical 3.53oz (100g) bar. I would recommend this product.Pros 👍:✔ Four unique, fresh, and light scents.✔ Easy to lather.✔ Long lasting.✔ Leaves you refreshed and clean with no residue.✔ Doesn’t leave your skin dry.✔ Easy to grasp or hang embedded rope.✔ Competitively priced for and good value.Cons👎:✘ None!

Nice Scents, Good Size, Nice Packaging You Can Leave on the Counter or Window Sill
Scent: 5 starValue: 4 starOverviewThese come in a pack of 4. Each soap is about 300g (that was marked on the first box I opened, they could be 200g, I didn't weigh them), which is three times the weight of a bar of Ivory soap. The scents are pleasant, not too strong, and manly smelling. The soap comes wrapped up inside the boxes and the rope is 1/4 inch in diameter. They are attractively packaged so can sit out in the open as opposed to a cupboard.TestingI tested these for a couple of weeks to see if my sensitive skin would react to the scents. It did not. The soap does leave the skin smelling mildly of the scent. My wife liked the scents and would buy them again. In terms of value for money, given the size, these are less expensive than other specialty soaps.SummaryI would certainly consider buying them again. The weight is similar to 13 bars of regular soap which would only be $2.30/bar. Specialty bars sell for $5-7/bar for that equivalent size. The only downside I see is that one bar after two weeks has started to split down the middle so I don't expect it to hold on through the entire life of the bar. The other thing to watch is that the bar is large so I wrapped the rope around my hand to use it. You get used to the size after a few showers.

Love the scents, love the old school theme/design/style
I'm not usually a fan of scented things. I don't use colognes or...ugh...body sprays. I don't mind a little fragrance in my soap though and when I saw these and the old soap on a rope design, they reminded me of times long gone. Yeah...getting sentimental via soap....goofy huh? But you know what I mean. You catch a certain scent and it reminds you of all kinds of things. So, I'm standing by it.Now, as for the actual using of the soap. I found the very generous bar size and the nice, thick rope they are attached to, rather impressive. These bars will last a long time with regular use. Of the four scents, I decided to go with the Whisky & Tobacco. While it didn't really smell like either of those things, it was a really nice, pleasant aroma that wasn't overpowering. The lather is rich and full, and the rope makes it super easy to not have to worry about dropping it. I use the rope around my wrist to prevent dropping them and letting me have that hand free without having to put the soap down.It worked great on face body and hair....what little I have left....and didn't leave any residue or dry out my skin.I recommend when you get them that you separate the boxes for a few days and let them air out as they are packaged together and the odors do mix together and adhere to the cute cardboard boxes they each come in. Also, all four together in the same room does make for quite a thick, heavy scent that, while not unpleasant, is a tad overpowering. There's really nothing I don't like about them. They're a quality, natural soap. They're well made and packaged and they bring back memories for old dudes like me lol For $30CAD I think they're a great value given the size of the bars and the high quality of the soap used. Easy to recommend these. Good Stuff!
