Easy Recipes
I loved that the recipes were actually easy to do. The ingredients were on hand and not out of range to get.

but hey some recipes look good and useful and facts about diabities is nice to ...
Gave this book to my fiancé who's been a diabetic for a couple years, she said some recipes contain a weirdly high amount of carbs and sugar and in some recipes regular sugar is used and confusing cause for a book for diabetics you would think it would work without having to use real sugar, so with that I guess in our opinion this book can be misleading, and a lil disappointing, but hey some recipes look good and useful and facts about diabities is nice to know in a book, thanks for reading my review

The Diabetic Pastry Chef Cookbook
I've just recently acquired this cookbook and unlike most diabetic cookbooks, this one has an informative section about the disease of diabetes and helpful info on control. It also explains the different ingredients that are used in the recipes and substitutions along with several recipes.

Wonderful book
Easy directions. Made Healthy Carrot Cake. Wonderful. Tastes like the carrot cakes I used to make.

Good idea but has some holes in it.
The author starts out by giving you some great substitutions for common ingredients that a diabetic shouldn't have but falls short by not explaining how to use the substitutions. I wanted to make my husband, newly diagnosed diabetic, a birthday cake that he could enjoy. Since there were no explanations about how to equate the substitutions to the real ingredients, I assumed using the ingredients "tit for tat". Was I. Ever wrong. I even looked at her recipes included in the book which didn't really help as the substitutions weren't shown there either. Needless to say my husband's birthday cake did not turn out good!

Great Book. I would definitely recommend
I loved the recipes inside book. Giving you options of different substitutes if you desired to use them. If you aren't a Diabetic it still so tasty that anyone would enjoy. Great ways to limit sugar intake.

My best baking resource!
Brilliant! I've used a lot of these recipes over the past two years with great success. This cookbook has also helped me to develop an instinct for tailoring almost any recipe for my needs. I take the author's suggestion to experiment with natural sweeteners as well as others, to determine what works for my health needs and palate. She also explains very well the different healthy flours--and how to blend, cook and bake with them.I find this cookbook satisfies all of my baking needs, from casual to formal. Many of her recipes I use repeatedly as gospel, and others I use as a foundation for modifying other recipes. Her bread and cake recipes are my favourites, as well as a few of the more gourmet ones—like linzer torte, pavlova and amazing Nutella cupcakes. This comprehensive cookbook thankfully has quick and simple, less fussy recipes for when I'm in a rush or have a sudden craving as well!

Loved it!
I've been using Stacey's book for quite some time. I have diabetic family members and wanted to bake pastries for them but was not sure how to modify recipes. I love how simple and straightforward her recipes are. Every time I make a recipe for my family and friends they rave how delicious they taste! It's not only for people with Diabetes but for everyone who wants great treats with less sugar!

From Dreary to Delightful
What a marvellous publication! It turned ho hum dessert time into "Hello Dolly!" My husband just loves the recipes, and I have just made a few. The look on his face paid the price of the book, and the time it takes to create masterpieces. thank you for making this delightful book available.
