Works vastly better than the other similar dongle I tried. Setup interface on TV remains visible. Its own WiFi network stays visible. On first use, it automatically detected my home WiFi and asked for password, then automatically downloaded and installed latest firmware. Flexible setup options, including whether you must connect through its own WiFi or can connect through the router. Good onscreen help while doing this. Power segment of USB cable is very short - OK for using TV USB port, but the instructions say to use external power source if video is glitchy, and it really isn't long enough for that. Has a second short-ish cable for its WiFi transmitter/receiver.EZCast is only required for initial setup; after that you can mirror directly to it if your phone supports that. (I have an aversion to EZCast so generally avoid it otherwise.) Have not yet tested AirPlay from an iPhone but screen mirroring from Android phones mostly works well. Streaming from Internet through the phone with e.g. Youtube or Android Netflix app works well (subject to vagaries of Internet connection).Glitches: 1. Usually takes 2-3 tries for phone to find it after dongle is powered on. 2. I like to leave the dongle plugged into the HDMI port but find after a while it turns off and needs powercycling to wake it up. 3. Video sometimes a bit stuttery, but generally good. Depends on phone, too: Droid Turbo occasionally has a "progressive load" effect, Galaxy S5 better.Overall, if you are looking for something relatively inexpensive that can handle multiple types of phones/protocols, does not need a physical cable to connect them, and isn't proprietary like Chromecast/Apple TV/Firestick etc., this is a good solution.

Threw this in the trash after spending hours trying to get this to work. We were trying to mirror my Mac laptop to my TV to stream movies. Couldn't connect to dongle and wi-fi at the same time. Tried connecting laptop to tv via dongle but cord is so short we had to make a big stack of books to make it reach. To no avail - still did not work! My husband and I are pretty tech-savvy and found the instructions and website useless and poorly written. Very disappointed.

Amazing little device, you may use it right out of the box, no need for the application, just connect to the device WiFi network, enter the password, choose your file, "airplay" it and.... bingo! no latency noticed; the osund is slightly low, I have yet to realize why... but even if it's related to this little wonder, I'll still give it 5 stars

It is a little temperamental to get set up and operate but I also elected for price over all else. It works properly however, I would not recommend trying to show off your technical prowess by attempting to set it up as your meeting is about to start. 3-1/2 stars. If you are looking for an economical way to cast this will suit you well.

It worked for awhile and stopped. Now it will not stay linked to my WiFi.

Ok heres the thing it just wouldnt plug in to my tv because of the way my tv is made,so I really couldnt use it

Knock off of Chromecast . unfortunately there is a clear difference between the two products.Chrome cast is clearly better. This is still a good product because of how similar it is to chrome cast
