Inconsistent fermentation, flavor and saltiness
I've ordered this miso paste 3x. On the first occasion I was able to receive the lightly fermented yellow version which was outstanding! Then the 2 other orders arrived and they were very dark brown and not matching the color/fermentation advertised. The dark brown has consistently been overly salty to the point of being inedible and carried an off taste into the food. I was so disappointed after experiencing such a delightful miso from that first memorable shipment.

The recipient loved it !
It was a gift for a friend and she loves it. She lives in a very small town in KS and has no access to products like this without traveling a long distance. She is on a low fixed income, I am Blessed to send her special things now and then, she is vegan and elderly.
