Great product. Arrived in one day as promised. Perfect fit for my hybrid office chair (workbench height) I built for my workshop. The unit is very heavy and appears well made, operates as expected. Longevity is unknown, but appears to be of much higher quality than the previous product I used for my project, so expectations are high! Well done!

I can finally use my chair again. I was afraid I would have to replace an office chair that I really like, because the lifter lost it's ability to go up and down. Then I found this lifter solution and it saved my favorite chair. The hardest part of the installation was getting the old lifter off the chair. It required brute strength. I also watched a couple of YouTube videos on replacing the lifter before I started, which was so much better than the written instructions!!It took "a bit" of banging with a mallet and tugging on the chair to remove the old lifter. It also took 2 people. (Read "a bit" as though you are wailing on the old lifter as though you were trying to kill it. I was sweating by the time I finally was able to remove the old lifter.)The new lifter was fast and extremely simple to install!! Now I can use my chair again!And, YES, I would definitely buy this lifter again, if needed!

I purchased this to replace a worn out lift on my office chair. I worked awesome for about 11 months, then started to intermittently lower when I sat down. I contacted the seller, they responded right away and sent me a new replacement. It showed up in a couple of days, I just installed and I'm back in business! I'm so impressed with the customer service. Stuff doesn't always work, but how you take care of customers when things go sideways.....that's what sets apart ok sellers from great sellers. I got this to replace a failing cylinder in my office chair. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the extra height but this definitely rises up to bar stool height. That also means the lowest setting isn't as low as a standard office chair. If you're one to sit higher up, I would HIGHLY recommend this.One small ding and this VERY LIKELY could be my chair... Once and a while I'll put pressure on the arm rests and the whole thing will sink down when I sit. I think when I shift all my weight to the front of the chair to pop myself up, it presses down on the release button. Not a dealbreaker by ANY means and it only happens once and a while.

I have just installed this so I can not comment on long term reliability. But I can say read the specs. This is as tall as the cylinder I am replacing when it is at its lowest setting compared to the old cylinder's top setting. Taller than I needed but still usable.

Bought to replace an aging cylinder on daily use office chair. Starting to fail less than 3 months after installing. Chair is lowering without using lever on its own, just like the cylinder it replaced. Not a good unit, DOES NOT LAST.

Fits where the old support was and is easier to use sitting or to get back up!

I use a tall stool so I can sit every once in a while at my standing desk. The original cylinder lasted many years and this is the only similarly tall one I've been able to find. The first one I ordered lasted about a year and a half before it started sinking. The replacement started sinking after only a couple of months, unfortunately after the Amazon return period closed. I'd happily pay more for a higher quality one, but I don't know where to find them, and this seems like the only one this tall on Amazon.
