I took this to school at Paul Mitchell. My teacher informed my that this is NOT human hair. She said its a synthetic that is ok for most heat. However blowdrying was melting the hair a little. This will not work for Cosmo class.

I bought this to practice braiding. I started combing her hair and realized it was full of nits! I know that human hair has been sanitized and that they are most likely dead, but I would still have to spend time brushing them out... no thanks! The hair was nice and did not shed, but it needs to be checked more thoroughly by the manufacturer!

I read the reviews. And a lot of people said something about lice, well I ordered anyways and decided to try it out.. as I was checking it I found a ton of weird stuff in the hair.. not 100% sure it was lice, but who wants to stick around and find out if it is or not

I am in school for cosmetology and needed a new doll. I was SO EXCITED over this doll and it ended up being a HUGE LETDOWN!!! Hair melted when I attempted to use curling iron! VERY DISAPPOINTED! I ordered a different doll prior to this one by Hairingrid and it was amazing. I think the description of this doll was very misleading, perhaps even false advertised! It stated it was 100% human hair...but human hair does not melt!! When I read 100% human hair I expect that real human hair is all that this doll was made with! I sent the doll back for a refund. This was a waste of time. Do not order this doll if you plan on styling with heat of any kind. I can’t t imagine it would work with color but I can’t speak on that because I did not attempt to color this dolls hair.

My daughter loves doing hair and wanted to learn to French braid. We go to Sally Beauty and this same mannequin head was $65!!! Went on Amazon and found this amazing price!! Hair is human and my daughter has washed, curled and braided the hair and no shedding!!! Highly recommend!!

I’m a student at a hair school so I needed a doll that could handle many things (cuts, styles, colors, heat, etc). So far, I’m impressed, but not loving it 100%.I’m not entirely convinced it’s actually human hair. It smells like, feels like, and tangles like synthetic; the only thing that has me guessing is the fact that it doesn’t melt under heat.It’s not the easiest hair to cut because it is so damaged any water/moisture is absorbed right away. Also, when I cut it, the ends always fray; another reason to think it’s not actually human hair.This doll is great for styling though! It holds a curl really well (if you feel comfortable applying heat to a doll that might have synthetic hair). I usually don’t put any heat on her besides blow drying just because I’m scared her hair will burn/melt. I like to curl her hair with rollers or pin curls.I got the blonde one, and the color is really pretty! It looks natural and not too orange/yellow.Overall, I’m impressed with how good she’s been for the price! If you’re not picky about your mannequin, I would definitely recommend this one! If you’re picky like me, or would be using it a lot, I would probably spring for a more expensive one.

Ordered very last minute for my cosmetology state board practical exam. My manikin from school (Diane brand, Penelope) wasn’t even able to be brushed out after washing it with professional products. With this manikin it feels like running my fingers through butter while washing it, and it also holds a thermal style perfectly! Excited to have it to take my practical exams and if I ever need a manikin in the future I will be ordering these. I will also recommend these to anyone that asks.

Bought to practice color techniques... tested hair with curler and it curled with out burning but fell flat by the end of day with out touching it....But I said “how bad could it be” HA. I lightened her with 20vol for 25 mins..... and this is what happened! (See pics)I will say the hair is soft but almost too soft which is what made me skeptical.$40 wasted!
