Q: Can anyone suggest a waterproof padlock that can work with this overpriced heap of junk?

Update on the waterproof orange OPEL padlocks It’s Been over a week also received my second lock and Orange Opel padlock yesterday. I know I praised the ock for being waterproof and good quality but didn’t think I would be complaining about opening the padlock! Today was bin day last week the lock on one of them opened fine, but today BOTH would not open for about half an hour! It was going through my head they will not open and will not be able to put the rubbish bin at the front. Finally they opened. But after bin collection I thought it was a one off and locked it again then tried opening the padlocks again same problem! I’ve took the locks and padlocks off! The Iocks are shockingly bad! I will have to order some more from somewhere else!

Q: The Council have given me a smaller bin for household rubbish (grey). Will this still fit?

I decided to change my green bin from a normal sized bin to a small one as I don’t have much rubbish for that bin. The padlock works very well but if you lift the lid up it does slightly leave a gap but nothing to be concerned about. No one will be throwing stuff in my bin again!

Q: Will this fit a standar black council issued wheelie bin? The photographs aren't black bins.

Yes, all councils use different coloured wheelie bins the design is the same regardless of colour. I have a green, blue and black wheelie bin the lock will fit any of the three.

Q: Will this fit a smaller 140L garden refuse bin please?

I don't know the exact sizes of the bins but I bought 2 of these locks and I have them fitted on 2 different sizes of wheelie bin. One of the bins is the standard larger sized wheelie bin and the other bin is the smaller sized bin. The lock fits both of them equally well because there are a series of holes to fit the padlock into. I was quite sceptical before I bought them but they have been really effective and useful for both sized bins.
