The Phantom of the Opera: The Lost Chapter

Thank you for finding and translating this lost chapter! I really enjoyed it, especially the scene with the managers dressed identically, meeting in the box. I would love to see a full translation of the serialization to see what the differences are between it and the final published novel.

Some might say that this adds nothing to the original story, but I have to disagree!If you're a devoted fan of Leroux's novel, I highly recommend you add this to your collection.I actually reread the original novel and made sure to read this at the appropriate location as indicated by the author in the foreword. It fit in really well, and I wish it hadn't been taken out!I think this extra chapter lends some insight into the dynamic between Erik and the Manager's relationship while also giving Erik's character a slightly different angle than just obsessive and controlling. Though one could argue that these antics are just further indicators of those things, it also shows that Erik has something of a sense of humor in how he deals with those who don't do as he says. (His mischievousness is always fun to read).

My grandson loved the phantom items

This item is a lost jewel for the phantom's lovers, so the translation to English allow me to read and understand it for knowning a bit more the esence of Leroux's novel.

I liked the fact that it ad details to a deleted chapter for the original book. Very good read. I recommend.
