One of the Most Affordable Coffee Grinders
The grinder I received is working great. I originally purchased it specifically for DRIP COFFEE usage. I would say my rating overall for DRIP usage is 8/10. Althought the grinder has many settings in terms of coffee bean coarseness, none of the settings is "perfect" for hand dripped coffee. It comes out just a tad bit coarse or to fine.I still use it for my hand drip coffee. I'm just saying don't expect it to give you barista level performance.

What goes in doesn't always equal what comes out
A nice grinder that brought up the quality of my coffee substantially. However, there's something in the design that seems to trap coffee grounds with the result that I don't get predictable results. My espresso machine makes a wonderful cup of coffee if I use exactly 14.3 grams of beans. I weigh the beans in the collection bin, and when I add exactly 14.3 grams of beans I get a total weight of 101 grams. If I'm one gram short it pulls the shot faster than I like, and if its one gram heavier it's more "ristretto" than I like. Fussy, aren't I? But I love those perfect pulls with the deep flavor, great crema, and satisfying mouth feel.At any rate, after grinding the beans I find that the ground coffee doesn't weigh the same as the coffee beans.I put in. The full coffee bin may weigh 96 grams, or it may weigh 104 grams, or anything in between. I tap the grinder on the counter if I'm short, and after several tries may get the coffee I want to fall off of whatever ledge or crevice it was caught on. In some cases I have to grind extra beans to get the right weight. I think the heavy grinds, when I get more weight than I put in, are from coffee that didn't make it through the grinder in a previous effort. I then have to throw the extra away. The most irritating part is the extra time it takes to get the right weight. I can always eventually get it the weight I want via extra grinding, extra bouncing of the grinder, or by putting in more beans than I need and throwing any excess away, but I don't always have the time to fiddle with this.

Need A Good Burr Grinder ?
I bought this to go with my new Capresso cappuccino machine. I first tried a blade grinder, but it was burning my beans. After some research, I decided on a conical burr grinder. This one is very nice quality. Straightforward instructions. Easy to clean with a little brush (one included). All you have to do is remove the top burr and brush it off, then turn the unit on its side to brush off the internal burr. You do this after beans are empty. Gives recommendations in the instruction manual for what setting to put it on depending on what type of bean you are using, what kind of coffee you are making, and what device you are making it in. Nice heavy duty stainless steel burrs. It is very efficient at grinding and quiet too. I have tried different settings and the grounds are very consistent in size for each setting. The scoop that is included is stainless steel, also a smaller plastic scoop that is very small, maybe for the fine ground turkish powder. Very pleased with the design and function of this appliance. Good thick quality plastic containers. Bean container has a snug lid and might even be considered airtight, not sure though. No problems whatsoever. I will update later if anything changes.

EASY TO USE
Very easy to use. I do wish that it ground a little coarser as I use a french press. The hopper broke but Jura replaced the machine with a new one.

Super product
Thank you for having this product available for me to purchase. The low-speed conical burr grinds so nicely and is so much quieter than my previous grinder. It's all so much cleaner on the counter not such a mess like the other one was with grounds everywhere. For the price and the quality of the grind it can't be beat!!

Requires too much attention.
The grinder requires frequent cleaning to prevent buildup of ground coffee that plugs the outlet.

Quiet and competent grinder!
What a superb improvement over my MANY previous coffee grinders. I have owned several "chopper" type mills, and a couple of burr grinders (both manual and electric). This one makes precise and uniform grounds, with almost infinite adjustability. As an added benefit, it is easy to clean and very quiet (for a grinder). I have been so impressed with it that I bought one for my son.

Wonderful grinder
I love this grinder! I brew a chemex every morning and treat my coffee like a ritual. It produces very even grind sizes, isn't too loud, is very fairly priced compared to others on the market and is very easy to clean. I highly recommend to any other coffee nerds like myself.
